  10.        This release note describes patch SG0000341 to IRIX 5.3.
  11.        This patch updates the file /var/sysgen/boot/ev2.a.  It
  12.        requires that the kernel be relinked and the system
  13.        rebooted.

  15.        1.1  _S_u_p_p_o_r_t_e_d__H_a_r_d_w_a_r_e__P_l_a_t_f_o_r_m_s

  17.        This patch contains Galileo/Indigo2/Indy Video bug fixes for
  18.        Indigo (Elan, XZ, XZ24), Indigo2 (EXtreme, XZ, XL), and Indy
  19.        (XL). Supported processor types include the R4000, R4400,
  20.        and the R4600SC.  The software cannot be installed on other
  21.        configurations.

  25.        This patch contains bug fixes for IRIX 5.3 for the above
  26.        hardware platforms and includes all fix(s) contained in
  27.        patch SG0000294.  This patch cannot be installed on other
  28.        configurations.  In addition,  this patch is independent of
  29.        patches SG0000215 and SG0000314.

  33.        This patch contains fixes for the following bugs in IRIX
  34.        5.3.  Bug numbers from Silicon Graphics bug tracking system
  35.        are included for reference.

  37.           +o Ocassionally video capture stops during long
  38.             conferences, (Bug #205865). Video captures which
  39.             involved the VL_RATE option would stop transfering
  40.             whenever the video signal was removed.

  77.        Patch software is installed like any other Silicon Graphics
  78.        software product.  Follow the instructions in your _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e
  79.        _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _A_d_m_i_n_i_s_t_r_a_t_o_r'_s _G_u_i_d_e to bring up the miniroot
  80.        form of the software installation tools.

  82.        Follow these steps to select a patch for installation:

  84.          1.  At the Inst>prompt, type

  97.              incompatible.  If this occurs, you must deselect one
  98.              of the patches.

  104.          5.  After completing the installation process, exit the
  105.              _i_n_s_t program by typing

  110.        To remove a patch, use the _v_e_r_s_i_o_n_s _r_e_m_o_v_e command as you
  111.        would for any other software subsystem.  The removal process
  112.        reinstates the original version of software unless you have
  113.        specifically removed the patch history from your system.
